Amaura Louise is a ceramic artist based in Verona, PA, and is located behind her family’s coffee shop — Mechanic Coffee Co. Her art started as a way to convey human emotion through illustrative pen art, and evolved into illustrative functional art that captures the beauty in life. Every piece features free-handed mountains, birds, evergreens, bonsais and more. No two pieces are ever the same, and are meant to reflect how temporary every moment is, while also highlighting the uniqueness of all things within our everyday lives.

She uses clays such as white stoneware, porcelains, and occasionally black clay using mainly throwing techniques for her work. All glazes are hand-mixed and measured in studio, and all her illustrations vary in technique – from underglaze paintings using watercolor techniques, to carving detailed mountain ranges with a regular needle tool.
