LGG Creative Art Pottery
Host: Leslie Green-Guilblat
Leslie Green Guilbault is a self-taught ceramic artist specializing in wheelthrown porcelain, which she meticulously carves and paints by hand without the aid of molds, templates, stencils, or transfers, making each piece one-of-a -kind. Her finishing styles include freehand painted botanicals, ornately carved vessels in a range of metallic finishes, Audubon-style tile paintings of birds and landscapes, and mixed media wall pieces that combine clay objects with natural elements, such as carved bones, horns, stones, feathers, and African porcupine quills.
Leslie has been a Roycroft Artisan in Ceramics since 2017, and signs select pieces in her Metallic and Botanical Collections with the Roycroft Logo—a respected mark in the Arts & Crafts community that may only be used by certified Roycroft artisans. There are fewer than 60 artists world-wide who have earned the right to use the Roycroft logo on their work, and Leslie is proud to be among them.
When she is not selling pottery on the fine art circuit, she can be found in her 3rd floor studio, aptly named “The Treehouse”, making custom pieces and teaching private lessons on the pottery wheel. Those who visit LGG Creative Art Pottery during the Clay Pittsburgh Studio Tour can look forward to live demonstrations each day, and will be able to purchase pieces from her large ceramic art, painting, and sculpture gallery.
