Clay Pittsburgh is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the ceramic arts for artists, learners, and the community through education, exhibitions, retail opportunities, and artist services.
- The ceramic arts are intrinsic to the human experience, while reflecting diverse cultural traditions.
- Every individual benefits from exposure to a wide variety of ceramic art that is beautiful, evocative, challenging, or innovative.
- The ceramic arts are advanced through the exploration of the full spectrum of the art and science of clay.
- The field of ceramics is enriched by a mutual exchange of active curiosity, dialogue, and learning through diverse partnerships.

- Let us know you are out there and what you want/need.
- Participate in events offered by Clay Pittsburgh.
- Post, repost, and ask friends to post information about what Clay Pittsburgh is doing — because working your social media is crucial.
- Volunteer. It is a great way to connect with us.
- Share what you have, be it studio space, kiln space, or knowledge.
- Teach or attend workshops.
- Donate money to help support the clay community.

- Assess the needs of local potters, provided you tell us what they are.
- Offer ceramic studio tours twice a year.

What is in place now…
- We have the foundation of Clay Pittsburgh securely built. We realize you can see it, but it’s there. It is the culmination of lots of hard work done by many people.
- We have funding.
- We held Studio Tours with strong participation, promotional materials, and professional design work.
- We have done one exhibition and another in the works.
- We have had Ceramixers.
- We are planning our next steps.
