Triangle Necklace – Mixed Black and White

22″ black porcelain, sterling silver and black leather necklace

This necklace was constructed following an error in the process for a completely different project. My thin slab of black porcelain dried too much to cut out circles and so I sliced it into triangles instead. I then proceeded to either use white underglaze or white glaze for the designs. In searching for a way to actually use these components, I hung them from the silver chain and later combined that with the leather connections. My hope is that you find this as aesthetically pleasing as I do – in spite of its unexpected and unplanned origins.
