Liana Agnew is an artist and educator residing in Pittsburgh, PA. Currently, she works as the Director of Artistic Advancement at Sweetwater Center for the Arts in Sewickley, PA. She has exhibited in galleries across the country, and has taught workshops at both the national and international level.

As a potter, I am fascinated by the connection pots bring between the maker and people that use them. There remains an interconnectedness once the pot goes into the hands of its owner. I create items intended to invite beauty, joy, and nostalgia into the space through playful, organic forms, colorful patterns, and use of nature motifs often inspired by folk art, botanical drawings, or fantasy realms.
