Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media
Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media (PCA&M) is a nonprofit community arts organization dedicated to providing opportunities for people of all ages to learn, create, and engage with the visual arts. Through classes, workshops, camps, and other educational programs, PCA&M offers instruction across a wide range of visual art disciplines. Its ceramics program includes classes, workshops, artist residencies, and open studio access for members. The work exhibited at this tour stop features current Ceramic Artists-in-Residence and Ceramics Instructors.
Alexandra Watrous is the Ceramics Studio Manager. The studio has a throwing room, as well as cone 6, cone 10 gas, raku, and soda firings. Aleandra is a ceramic artist, educator, and owner of Waterhouse Pottery. Her small batch pottery is wheel thrown and uses carving and glaze layering techniques to create surface patterns. She focuses on handmade functional wares for your home and garden.
