Jowdy Studio

“The decoration you see is also the construction of the piece.” –This is one simple way I use to describe how I make my work. The colors of my work are not painted on; they are each an individual piece of pigmented porcelain that I make, shape, and adhere together, like a puzzle of sorts, into bright compositions on iconically-shaped vessels and wall panels.

My studio is a 2000 sq. ft. industrial space where meticulous planning and improvisation mutually drive my creative engines. I have a production-oriented space for Jowdy editions, and multi-media spaces for painting and woodwork alongside my fine art practice.
