With a background in painting and trade skills, AJ Collins combines iconic form with a revisionist approach to color theory to create bold porcelain vessels and wall works. Using traditional wheel-throwing, slab, and slip-casting, he creates palettes of pigmented porcelain to make contemporary ceramic works that combine functional forms with conceptual art.

He continues to develop fresh bodies of work that evolve in dialogue with his materials and the world. His production, JOWDY, makes limited editions of functional work that enlivens
interiors and homes.
