There are some species of pine trees whose cones open only in response to fire, so new growth will occur after a forest fire. This reminds me of the phoenix, ancient creature of legend who dies and is reborn in flame. My phoenix is made out of pinecone “feathers” and is accompanied by other ceramic pinecones.
