I’m Katy, a Pittsburgh native who creates warm, minimalist porcelain and stoneware ceramics that celebrate simplicity and elegance. Working primarily on the potter’s wheel and incorporating hand-building techniques, I alter my forms with darts to create soft pleats and distinctive triangular shapes that highlight the clay’s natural beauty. Geometric carvings add texture and rhythm to each piece. Inspired by nature, travel, my experience teaching art in Yangon, Myanmar, and everyday life as a mother, I strive to create work that feels grounded, thoughtful, and inviting.
