About Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and why they are needed

Some hosts have found the insurance issue confusing, so I want to clarify. If you have homeowners or business insurance it insures YOU, but not Clay Pittsburgh. You need to insure both of us. The easy way to accomplish this is through ACT Insurance. ACT specializes in this type of coverage, for both you and Clay Pittsburgh. The coverage is good for a three-day event, like an art festival. Clay Pittsburgh has listed the Pittsburgh Potters Tour with ACT to make things easy for you. To secure the required insurance, just use this link and fill out the paperwork.
https://app.actinsurance.com/events/8490  Coverage for a one-time event is $49.

Most art festivals are now requiring this kind of coverage. If you are doing multiple shows this year, you can get various levels of coverage from ACT: https://www.actinsurance.com/.
